Deemed a “sound wizard” by Pitchfork,^[1] he is known primarily for the varying textures of his music, which can simultaneously resemble experimental noise, post-punky cold wave, lo-fi pop,^[2] digital bebop ^[3] and danceable rhythms. He has also recorded with FKTRN, Finesse & Runway, Hair & Nails^[4], Old Bombs^[5], and several other collaborative projects. He generally makes music using home recording techniques and electronic drums, guitars, bass guitar, a Korg SH-202, FX Processors, Vocals, and various computer software.”

Double feature (the new standard for this show?)

1st up, the Ducemania hour takes on their first phone interview! Adrian must’ve been inspired from last week’s hardcore message board interview with Lil Daggers, because this week he’s bringing us an interview with French producer Hazel, who has upcoming releases on Onra’s label. (the one from WVUM rotation)

2nd Entresol returns for an update on his career. He’s got a new remixes EP that’s available on Nightdrive, with remixes from a bunch of Miami favorites, Kabuki Iron Kolors, Danny Daze, Air Zaire, and Hydroplane. vitaminwater video interview on WVUM’s website included post show. 

MIAMI TIME: New LP from Lil Daggers + Return of the Ducemania Hour

Miami’s fuzziest rifftastic 5 - piece, LIL DAGGERS (almost lol daggers), return to MIAMI TIME with AN ALBUM and a new 7 in. out on Discosoma Rex. They describe their genre as “bummer.” Catch the new tracks and some talk at 8pm on Tuesday (and download one of them below)!

Starting off the show will be the funnest DJ couple ever, Induce & DZA, doing the Ducemania Hour. I think this week they will finally uncover some artifacts of Pete Rock’s past life as a churro vendor in Hialeah. Can’t wait!
